Computer Centre

SAITM has a well-equipped centralized computer centre or computer lab to facilitate effective learning. SAITM computer centre enables students to learn and practice various computer languages and functions. SAITM’s computer centre is the primary place for campus-wide networking and internet connectivity. It is equipped with a Web Server, Academia Server, E-Mail Server, Security Wall, Bandwidth Management, and Data Servers. SAITM computer centre has a network infrastructure including routers, firewall, unified threat management (UTM), manageable layer 2, layer 3 switches, and also features a cluster of Windows and Linux-based servers for mailing and web application hosting. Fiber optic from local ISP terminates for Internet connectivity 32 Mbps (1:1) bandwidth and further emanates to all departments/sections/hostels. The existing institute network at SAITM computer centre has a fiber backbone whereby all departments/sections/hostels are connected with the computer centre.

SAITM computer centre makes computational facilities available to all students and staff at the institute. Students, staff, and faculty from all departments and sections get access to use the internet and email services. The computer centre has a suite of software addressing the needs of various campus users. The operating timings of the SAITM computer centre are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on weekdays and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
